June 18-20, 2010
In 2010 the CMC will celebrate its 50th anniversary and we already have a full weekend of events planned. We anticipate many attendees whose involvement goes right back to the formation of the club.
Guest speakers, drinks, slide shows, cool free stuff, drinks, historical memorabilia, dancing, food, and good times. Mark it on your calendar now! Should be the biggest party of the last 50 years (and the next 49).
The event starts Friday evening June 18, 2010 and runs through to Sunday afternoon June 20.
Location - Mount Royal University
Accommodations - we are discussing rates with the university (MRU) for out of town attendees to stay in residence on campus (crawling distance from the events). In addition, we are collecting a list of volunteers willing to host an out-of town guest.
Sponsorships - if you are an individual or organization wishing to help sponsor the CMC 50th anniversary - please contact us!!
Do you know a previous CMC member that might not be on our mail list? Please let us know, and also forward this email on. While you're at it - forward on the "50 reasons to join the CMC" emails to any climbers you think might be interested.

here it is ... let\'s go climbing next time.
yeah, it\'s strong enough
next to build the road that leads onto it.
just in case it isn\'t strong enough - there\'s some etra wood to drive on.
that should stop anyone driving off the edge
more hammering to nail all this down
fourteen five foot posts through two feet of wood and three feet of frozen ground ... two sledge-hammers gave their lives for this part of the operation
this was the easy bit ...
That should be just about strong enough for my bike.

Kevin: \"ìsn\'t the bridge supposed to go this way\"
SIdney has the right idea - that skilsaw isn`t big enough
Are you sure these logs will be strong enoughÉ
Ask Peter about what it took to drive all this lumber into the site - I think he`s probably still having nightmares
With the help of Chris in the back-hoe we soon had a nice pond for the bull-trout to swim in
As you can see it wasn`t a major span across dangerous waters than needed bridging. in fact...
